Devon House, at 26 Hope Road in Kingston 10, is a restored historic mansion with more than a dozen food and drink outlets on its grounds. The highlights are Devon House I-Scream, the bakery's triangular patties, Blue Mountain coffee and tea at Lemongrass, and La Pizzeria's thin-crust pizza with Jamaican toppings. The property itself is open every day from 9:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Plan the food stop first, then add a mansion tour if you have time. Each outlet keeps its own hours, and the tour runs on separate times and fees, so a visit that combines both needs a little planning.

What you can eat on the grounds

The outlets cover everything from jerk and steak to ice cream and crepes.

Plan your visit

If you have an hour, the grounds and an ice cream are enough for a pleasant stop. With an afternoon, add the mansion tour, which takes about 40 minutes, and a sit-down meal at one of the restaurants. Start with the outlet you want, check its hours, and then build the mansion tour around it.
