Video Marketing for Restaurants in Jamaica

We create short food videos for Jamaican restaurants, ready for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts and Google Business Profile. You film the dishes, kitchen, team and location on your phone, then send us the footage. We plan the shots, edit the clips and add captions, so you can stay focused on service while your restaurant has accurate content to share.
This works for a cookshop, jerk centre, café, bakery, hotel restaurant or sit-down restaurant anywhere in Jamaica. It also works for restaurants serving local customers, visitors and the diaspora looking for somewhere to eat.
What we make for your restaurant
Your food already has a story. A short video can show the steam from the pot, the seasoning on the grill, the first tray of patties, or the plate that comes out at lunchtime. It can also answer the practical questions people have before they visit.
We can shape your footage into:
- Dish reveals for jerk chicken, seafood, patties, pastries, coffee, cocktails or daily specials.
- Behind-the-grill and kitchen clips showing seasoning, smoking, grilling, baking and plating.
- Menu-of-the-day videos with the item, price, serving period and availability.
- Owner and staff introductions.
- Location clips showing the roadside landmark, entrance, parking and dining area.
- Customer-experience videos featuring ambience, table settings, live music or events, with permission.
- Short answers about opening hours, reservations, dietary choices, payment methods and service areas.
- Event previews and recaps for Sunday dinner, live music, holiday menus and seasonal specials.
A roadside cookshop may need a clear location, today’s food, the serving time and the price. A jerk centre may need grill action, portion size, sides, opening hours and directions. A bakery or café may need morning preparation, fresh batches, coffee service and what is still in stock. A sit-down restaurant may need its signature dishes, setting, service and reservation details.
The format should fit the business. A short video cannot replace accurate hours, a current menu, a phone number or a clear address. It works alongside those details.
Where your restaurant videos can appear
Instagram Reels and TikTok are useful for short, visual food content. DataReportal’s Digital 2026: Jamaica report records about 1.10 million Instagram advertising-reach users and 1.81 million TikTok adult advertising-reach users in late 2025. These are advertising-planning figures, not a promise of unique active users or organic reach.
Facebook can help with local communities, events and sharing. The same report records about 928,000 Facebook advertising-reach users in Jamaica in late 2025. YouTube Shorts gives your video another place to appear through the Shorts feed, Search and your channel page.
Google Business Profile is useful when someone is already looking at your restaurant in Google Search or Google Maps. A verified profile can add videos through Search or Maps. Google says these videos can show the storefront, products and services. Its published limits are:
- Maximum duration of 30 seconds.
- Maximum file size of 75 MB.
- Minimum resolution of 720p.
Google reviews uploaded media before publication. A video may stay pending, be rejected or become live. Google says media can take up to 24 to 48 hours to appear. The profile must be verified before uploaded media appears, according to Google’s Business Profile photo and video guidance.
A video on Instagram or TikTok does not automatically become a Google Search result. YouTube, a crawlable restaurant website page and Google Business Profile each have different paths to visibility. Google recommends accessible video, useful titles and descriptions, suitable thumbnails and, where appropriate, VideoObject structured data. It also says that normal Search fundamentals apply to AI Overviews and AI Mode, with no promise that a particular restaurant video will appear there. See Google’s video SEO guidance and guidance on AI features.
WhatsApp is mainly useful for enquiries, customer service and orders rather than public video discovery. Keep the call to action true to how your restaurant handles customers, such as calling, sending a WhatsApp message, making a reservation or walking in.
Captions help people understand the food
For prerecorded video with audio, WCAG 2.1 Success Criterion 1.2.2 requires captions unless the video is clearly labelled as a media alternative for text. Captions should include spoken words, speaker identification where needed and meaningful sounds such as music, laughter or an important kitchen sound. W3C explains the caption requirement.
We add readable captions and on-screen text so people can understand the video with sound muted, in a noisy place or while using mobile data. Captions also help Deaf and hard-of-hearing viewers, non-native speakers and people who need clearer wording around Jamaican accents, patois or kitchen noise.
Automatic captions can misrepresent accents, dialects and background speech. YouTube advises reviewing and correcting them through its captioning guidance. We check names, dishes, prices, locations and opening information before the final version is approved.
A useful food video should make the dish clear quickly. Where relevant, the text should also show the price, location, serving period and next step. A viewer should not need to listen to the whole clip to learn when you open.
How the service works
You film the raw footage on your own phone and send it to us. We do not come to film on site.
Before you record, we give you a simple shot list for the dishes, grill, kitchen, team and location. You can record several short clips instead of one long video. Keep the phone vertical, clean the camera lens, use good light and hold each shot steady for a few seconds.
Send the footage when your connection allows. Keep a local copy of the original files. If power or internet service is unreliable, filming and file preparation can happen offline, then transfer and upload during a reliable period.
We edit the footage into short vertical videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts and Google Business Profile. We add captions, on-screen information and a practical call to action. We can prepare several versions from one batch of footage, such as a dish reveal, a menu video, a location clip and a staff introduction.
You approve the food, prices, dates, location, claims and availability before publication or delivery. The person approving the work should have authority to confirm those details.
What you need to prepare
Please send us:
- The correct business name, address, phone number, opening hours and website.
- The current menu, prices, serving sizes and availability.
- The dishes, preparation areas, team members and location you want to show.
- A person who can explain the restaurant’s story and answer factual questions.
- Permission to record on the premises.
- Permission from identifiable staff, customers, creators or performers where needed.
- Details about special events, seasonal menus and limited-time offers.
- Access or delegated permissions for the relevant social accounts and Google Business Profile.
- A named approver for food, prices, location, claims and dates.
- Your logo, colours and preferred contact details.
Use role-based access where possible, keep copies of the final files and record permissions for identifiable people shown in the content.
If a customer supplies a phone number for one order or enquiry, do not automatically add that person to a promotional WhatsApp list. WhatsApp Business policy requires permission before messaging and requires businesses to respect opt-outs.
Prices for short restaurant videos
We keep the first step small:
- One trial video: J$12,000 (about US$75).
- 4 short videos a month: J$45,000 a month (about US$283 a month).
- 8 short videos a month: J$85,000 a month (about US$535 a month).
Your price is set in writing before editing starts. The fee covers the agreed editing work, captions and platform-ready files within the selected scope. We do not promise a fixed number of customers, sales, bookings, covers or rankings.
If cost is the main concern, start with one useful video or a small batch of owner-shot footage. Consider the time needed for planning, filming, editing, captions, approval and posting when deciding whether the service fits your restaurant.
Keep the content accurate
Show the food customers can actually receive. If a special is available for one day or one season, put the date or availability in the video. Do not show a portion, price or dish as permanent when it is not.
Jamaica’s Fair Competition Act applies to audio-visual promotions. The Fair Trading Commission says a public representation must not be false, misleading or likely to mislead in a material way. Avoid claims such as guaranteed bookings, guaranteed covers, guaranteed Google positions or promises that a video will double sales. See the Fair Trading Commission guidance on misleading advertising and section 37 of the Fair Competition Act.
Get permission before using an identifiable person’s face, voice, testimonial or personal story. Keep a record of that permission and explain where the video may appear. The Office of the Information Commissioner’s Data Protection Act material covers informed consent and direct marketing obligations.
For paid creator content, use the platform’s disclosure tools. TikTok says creators must turn on the commercial content disclosure setting when posting content that promotes a brand, product or service. Meta’s branded content guidance also addresses paid or gifted partnerships. YouTube prohibits misleading titles, thumbnails, descriptions and other attempts to trick viewers, as stated in its Spam policy.
Questions restaurant owners ask
Can you make Instagram Reels, TikToks and YouTube Shorts from the same footage?
Yes. We edit the footage into short vertical versions suited to each platform. The wording, caption and call to action can be adjusted for the dish, location and audience.
Can you upload a video to my Google Business Profile?
We can prepare the file and help with the upload process where access has been arranged. Your profile must be verified, and Google’s video limits are 30 seconds, 75 MB and at least 720p. Google still reviews the media before it appears.
Do I need professional cameras?
No. You film the footage on your own phone using the shot list we provide. A clean lens, steady framing, useful light and clear shots of the actual food matter more than expensive equipment.
Can you guarantee more customers or a higher Google position?
No. We can provide agreed videos, captions and platform-ready files, but customer activity and Search placement depend on many factors. Track calls, messages, directions, reservations and orders where possible, and keep your menu, hours and contact details current.
Your restaurant can start with one dish, one story or one useful answer. Send us the footage, and we will turn it into clear short videos your customers can understand with or without sound.
