Review Management for Restaurants in Jamaica

We help Jamaican restaurants ask customers for Google reviews, answer every review with care, and show real customer feedback on their own website. We send the same short review request to every customer, draft replies to every Google review, and flag the reviews that need you personally.
Why review replies matter for a restaurant
Reviews help diners compare food, service, price, atmosphere, location, and recent customer experiences. This matters to regular customers, visitors, tourists, new residents, delivery customers, and members of the diaspora looking for somewhere to eat.
Instagram and TikTok can help people see food and find places to eat. Instagram does not replace accurate Google Business Profile information, a working phone number, current hours, a menu link, or a clear way to contact the restaurant. DataReportal reported 1.10 million Instagram user identities in Jamaica in late 2025, but that does not make Instagram enough for every restaurant. DataReportal Digital 2026: Jamaica
What we handle for your restaurant
We set up a practical review routine for your restaurant. That can include:
- Creating a Google review link or QR code for receipts, thank-you messages, WhatsApp, email, or in-store signage.
- Asking real customers for a review without asking for a particular star rating or wording.
- Monitoring Google reviews and other agreed platforms.
- Drafting or publishing timely, polite replies.
- Escalating complaints about refunds, safety, illness, staff conduct, discrimination, allegations, or legal threats.
- Reporting reviews that appear to violate platform rules.
- Checking public information such as your address, map pin, phone number, hours, holiday hours, menu, website, parking, delivery area, and reservation details.
- Grouping repeated complaints about slow service, wrong orders, unclear prices, unavailable items, or access.
- Showing selected customer feedback on your website when platform terms and permissions allow.
- Giving you a monthly summary of review volume, response coverage, recurring issues, and open complaints.
Review requests without pressure
Google allows businesses to ask customers for an honest review. Its rules prohibit paid, discounted, free, or otherwise incentivised reviews. They also prohibit fake reviews, reviews from staff or family members, pressure for a particular rating, staff quotas, and review gating.
Review gating means sending only happy customers to Google while directing unhappy customers somewhere private. A fair process gives customers the same review path, whether they had a good visit or a poor one. Tripadvisor also prohibits incentives, suggested wording, reviews written by businesses, and different paths for positive and negative feedback. A restaurant can use Google’s free review link, WhatsApp Business, and manual replies without buying review software. WhatsApp Business is free to download, although mobile data charges may apply. Customers choose whether to open a message or scan a QR code. Do not pressure people or send repeated requests.
Replying to a bad review with care
A negative review is not automatically a policy violation. We check the restaurant’s records and the facts available before preparing a reply. The public response should acknowledge the issue without exposing the customer’s phone number, payment details, order history, or private conversation.
For slow service, a suitable reply could be:
Thank you for telling us about the delay. We are sorry that your service took longer than it should have, especially during a busy period. We are reviewing what happened with the team. Please contact us at [contact] so we can look into your visit properly.
For a wrong order:
We are sorry that your order was incorrect. That is not the experience we want guests to have. Please contact us directly with the visit details so we can investigate and address it with the team.
For a price complaint:
Thank you for raising this. We understand that the price was not what you expected. Our current menu and pricing are [brief factual explanation]. Please contact us if the bill did not match the menu or what was communicated when ordering.
Google recommends prompt, professional, concise, relevant replies. It also advises businesses to acknowledge the specific complaint, apologise when appropriate, admit mistakes, explain factual limits without blaming the customer, and invite private contact when order details or payment information are needed. What your restaurant needs to provide
Before we begin, you confirm the facts and permissions that shape the work:
- Legal name and public trading name.
- Access to your Google Business Profile.
- Address, map pin, phone number, regular hours, holiday hours, menu, website, ordering, and reservation details.
- Main contact and escalation contact.
- Approved tone and language, including whether Jamaican phrasing may be used.
- Current prices, service model, parking, accessibility, delivery area, and reservation facts.
- Common complaints and known operating limits.
- Staff instructions for passing complaints to management.
- Permission boundaries for replying, posting, editing profile information, and reporting reviews.
- Privacy notice and lawful basis for customer data used in messages or marketing.
- Approval rules for sensitive replies.
If electricity or internet service is interrupted, we use a practical fallback such as saved templates, phone-based access where available, manual checks when connectivity returns, and a clear staff escalation route. We do not treat uninterrupted monitoring as something that can be promised during an outage.
Review management pricing
Our approved price for review management is J$12,000 a month (about US$75 a month).
That includes a simple routine for asking customers for Google reviews in a compliant way, a reply to every Google review, and a monthly summary. We confirm the price for your restaurant in writing before the work starts.
The service fee covers setup, monitoring, writing, escalation, reporting, and consistency. It does not promise a particular number of reviews, customers, covers, sales, or Google position.
Restaurant marketing across Jamaica
We support restaurants listed in the Weh Fi Nyam directory across all 14 parishes of Jamaica. That includes cookshops, jerk centres, cafes, bakeries, hotel restaurants, roadside spots, and dining rooms.
Accurate public information helps people decide whether a place fits their day. They may need to know where you are, when you open, whether the menu is current, if parking is available, whether you deliver, and how to contact you before travelling.
A listing helps people find the facts. Review management helps you respond to customer feedback and keep those facts current. We also build restaurant websites and support social media, WhatsApp, Google Business Profile information, and customer feedback processes where those services fit the project.
Common questions about restaurant reviews
How do I get more Google reviews for my restaurant?
Ask real customers for a review using Google’s free review link or QR code. We help set up the request, keep the wording neutral, and send it through an agreed channel such as a receipt, WhatsApp message, email, or sign.
Can I offer a free drink or discount for a review?
No. Google and Tripadvisor prohibit incentives connected to reviews, including free food, discounts, raffles, or other benefits. A customer may receive a neutral request for a review without being asked for a particular rating. Tripadvisor guide to incentivised reviews
Can Google remove a negative restaurant review?
Google may remove a review when it violates its content rules, such as fake engagement, conflict of interest, harassment, or irrelevant content. A genuine negative review is not automatically removable, so the proper response may be a calm public reply and private service follow-up. Google Business Profile restrictions for policy violations
Do I need a website if I already use Instagram?
Instagram is useful for food photos, messages, discovery, and social proof. A website gives customers a stable place to check your menu, hours, location, contact details, reservations, and selected reviews. It works alongside Instagram and Google Business Profile rather than replacing them.
