If you need food after 11 p.m. in Negril, start with 1Fusion Negril. It advertises 24-hour service every day from its beachfront spot on Norman Manley Boulevard, between Travelers Beach Resort and Negril Beach Club, and its menu covers Jamaican dishes, jerk chicken, seafood, pizza, appetizers and drinks. Kenny's Italian Cafe runs past midnight on Fridays, and Alfred's Ocean Palace stays open until 2 a.m. on some nights. Resort venues keep late hours too, but most of them are for resort guests.

Late hours are not always the same as a late kitchen. A venue can stay open while its kitchen stops taking full-meal orders earlier, and event nights change the schedule. Plan your food and your ride home together, and carry Jamaican dollars.

1Fusion Negril and the 24-hour option

1Fusion sits on Norman Manley Boulevard by Seven Mile Beach, between Travelers Beach Resort and Negril Beach Club. As of October 2026, its menu lists conch fritters and jerk-chicken wings at J$1,000 (about US$6), cod fritters at J$600 (about US$4), bottled water at J$250 (about US$2) and sodas at J$300 (about US$2). The menu also includes seafood and pizza. It calls itself a 24-hour bar and restaurant. Confirm the kitchen is serving the dish you want before you travel, because an open bar does not always mean every menu item is available all night.

Royalton Negril's SCORE Sports Bar and Lounge is open from noon to 2 a.m. and serves pub food and freshly grilled food. It sits inside an all-inclusive resort, so access is set by the resort. Sandals Negril's Brava has a late-night menu from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., and it is resort dining, so access is generally tied to resort guests or resort arrangements. RIU describes Sports Bar and American Country at Bloody Bay as a 24-hour restaurant with extended food service, including American favourites. It is also part of an all-inclusive resort, so outside access is set by the resort. Couples Negril's beach bar is open from 10 a.m. to midnight, with food, drinks and live entertainment, and resort access rules apply.

Nightlife after dark

Negril's nightlife clusters on Seven Mile Beach, Norman Manley Boulevard and the West End. Drifters Bar and Entertainment Venue in One Mile ran live reggae, blues, Motown and soul sessions from October 2024 through Easter 2025, and food was available from Mamma Monica during those nights. Rick's Café on the West End is known for sunset views, cliff diving and live performances, and Jungle Night Club is a Negril nightlife venue that the Jamaica Tourist Board names among the area's options.

A beach at night with string lights and a stage glowing beside dark water Beach stages and bars keep Negril's evenings going.

Several events brought food, music and late nights to Negril in 2025 and 2026. AfroJam Jamaica held four themed parties in Negril from June 26 to 29, 2025, including a Brunch Beach Party, as the Jamaica Observer reported. During Heroes Weekend in October 2025, Wavz Sunset pop-ups involved nine restaurants, with Afrobeat and Latin DJ sets. Nicky B's Jam Fest ran from May 23 to 27, 2025 at Negril Tree House Beach Resort, with a package that included two dinners, a beach picnic and a sunset catamaran cruise. The Negril Emancipendence Celebration ran from July 31 to August 9, 2026, with Painted Negril at Cayenne Beach on August 6, the WhiteLine Beach Club at Pirates Dock on August 7, and the Different Strokes Retro Party at Wavz Beach on August 8. The Skylark Film Festival ran on October 3 and 4, 2025, an open-air festival on Seven Mile Beach with films, live music, Q&As and a cultural market. Negril Carnival and Road March brought a beach event to Long Bay Beach Park on April 5, 2026, with soca, dancehall, reggae, DJs and live performers. Couples Negril's schedule lists a Thursday beach party from 6:30 p.m. and a Monday beach bonfire at 9:30 p.m., though those are resort activities. Dream Weekend moved from Negril to Montego Bay in 2026. Event food, cover charges and entry rules change with each event.

Getting home safely after dark

Official travel guidance from the UK government does not treat walking alone at night or on isolated beaches as low-risk. The US State Department notes that Jamaican ATMs can be out of order or charge high fees, so carry some cash. Avoid walking or driving at night in isolated areas or on deserted beaches, and avoid public buses at night. Use a Jamaica Tourist Board-approved taxi or a licensed route taxi. Route taxis carry red PPV plates and a Transport Authority driver ID card. JTB-approved taxis display a blue JTB sticker, and the driver should carry photo identification.

A quiet palm-lined road at dusk with soft streetlight glow and no traffic Quiet roads after dark are one reason to arrange a ride before you go.

Record the vehicle's licence plate, colour and make, and share the trip details with someone you trust. Keep expensive jewellery and large amounts of cash out of sight. Do not physically resist a robbery. Roads outside the main resort areas can be narrow, winding and poorly lit, and you should not drive after drinking. For a late meal, arrange a licensed taxi through your hotel, resort or venue, and request a return pickup rather than walking after closing time. Jamaica's emergency police number is 119.

Common questions

Which restaurants are open late in Negril?

1Fusion Negril advertises 24-hour service every day, with Jamaican food, jerk chicken and seafood. Kenny's Italian Cafe and Alfred's Ocean Palace run until 2 a.m. on certain nights, and Margaritaville's Friday ClubVille runs until 2 a.m. Resort venues such as Royalton's SCORE and Sandals' Brava keep late hours, but they are generally for resort guests.

Does Negril have nightlife?

Yes. Nightlife is concentrated on Seven Mile Beach, Norman Manley Boulevard and the West End, with beach bars, live reggae, DJs, sunset events and resort parties. Much of it is event-driven, so food and entry change from one night to the next.

Where do locals eat late in Negril?

The strongest evidence points to casual beach bars and locally oriented food venues, where food is served alongside music. 1Fusion, Alfred's and Drifters are examples of places that pair food with late hours or live sessions. Late food outside those venues changes by night, and accommodation staff can tell you which kitchen is open that evening.

What time does Burger King close in Negril?

Burger King on West End Road at Negril Square generally closes at 11 p.m. every day, with hours of about 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. It does not qualify as a late-night option after 11 p.m. Phone 876-957-9623 before a late trip if you want to be sure of the hours.

Is it safe to walk at night in Negril?

Do not assume that it is. Official UK and US travel guidance advises against walking at night, in isolated areas and on deserted beaches, and against taking public buses at night. Use a licensed taxi arranged through your accommodation or venue, arrange the return ride before you leave, and call 119 for police emergencies.
